Jeannette Williams was born on December 8, 1971 to the lovely parents of the Late Elder Judge Williams and Elder Bettie Williams, and is the oldest sibling of well re-known drummer Jay Williams.
She started singing at the tender age of 4, when her and her family was members of Washington Deliverance Evangelistic Center under the leadership of Bishop Robert Simpson, where her father was also the Minister of Music. She could always remember the songs that that choir sang on Sundays and would repeat them verbatim in the car ride home.
Jeannette always watched her father as he would direct the choirs of the church, and was gifted to be one of the Youth Choir directors as well.
In 1988, Jeannette was in her junior year of high school and had the opportunity to become the director of the Laurel High School Gospel Choir, and remain the director until her graduation.
In 1989, Jeannette met with her old high school friends now Pastors Mark and Kevann Carson about joining the group Persuasion in which she was one of the lead vocalists for over 27 years.
Jeannette joined Spirit of Faith Christian Center under the leadership of Pastors Mike and Delores Freeman from 1993-2000. She worked in the Music Ministry as the director of SOFCC Choir, Asst. Worship Leader, and sang with the Voices of Faith until year of 2000.
The greatest achievement was when she had the opportunity to follow in her father’s footstep and become the Minister of Music at Refuge Living Sanctuary Intl., under the leadership of Pastors Mark and Kevann Carson until the year of 2007.
She has served faithfully under Pastor Mark’s leadership for many years and continues to serve as a vocalist with Concert for Worshippers.
Jeannette has been honored to minister with several groups in the DMV area such as; the group Persuasion, Pastor Mark St John Carson and Concert for Worshippers, John Tillery and Living Sacrifice, Charrisse Nelson-McIntosh from Richard Smallwood & Visions just to name a few.
Jeannette currently serves as the Asst. Minister of Music of Advancing in Kingdom Living Fellowship in Suitland, Maryland, under the leadership of Pastor Gayle and Elder Albert Massey.
Jeannette loves the Lord with all of heart and she loves God’s people. Her desire is that the people of God will experience the presence of God like never before and go higher in Him!
