From the very beginning, the joy of singing has always been a part of Deidra Love’s fabric. Born in Washington DC, at the age of four she became the youngest member of the children’s choir at Edgewood Baptist Church. It was not long before she and everyone around her realized that Deidra had a heart for singing and worshipping God. With the unfailing support of her mother, she continued to sing throughout her life, and was determined to perfect her craft in college. Graduating with her Bachelors of Music in 2009 from Christopher Newport University, Deidra became a highly skilled, classically trained singer. During this time, she sang internationally in a European Tour from 2005 to 2009. Traveling to Austria, Germany, and Italy, her most memorable performances were performing in such historic places as St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, as well as Basilica di San Marco in Venice. Deidra never forgot gospel as her first love, and became a member of CFW in 2012. She has been blessed to open for Doreen Rainey’s “Get Radical Women’s Conference” with celebrities such as Jillian Michaels and Suzie Orman, as well as perform background vocals for former EnVogue member Dawn Robinson. Deidra is currently a member of the female duo Eden Gem, whose music seeks to promote love, positivity, and hope. |
